Electrolysis is the practice of permanent hair removal.  This is achieved by destroying the hair germ cells in the follicle, after a series of treatments the follicle is destroyed and hair can no longer grow.  Electrolysis has been practiced for over 100 years and is proven to be safe and effective.  Even laser is NOT 100% effective, in fact many laser clients need to have electrolysis to rid them of the hair completely! 

  • Some common questions asked about  Electrolysis

    Is Electolysis safe?

    YES!!  The amount of current recieved at a treatment is minimal.  It is even safe to recieve treatments while pregnant!  The sterilization practices are that of what a dentist would use and approved by the FDA.  All probes are disposed of after each treatment.

    How many treatments will I need?

    This is determined at your free consultation.  At this time we will discuss a treatment schedule fit for you.  This will be depending on the location of the hair and if the hair is hormonal, due to medications or superficial. 

    Does it hurt?

    Electrolysis is not painful.  There is a slight discomfort you feel.  This discomfort is no more umcomfortable than tweezing.  I offer tubes of topical anesthetic you can purchase and use before treatments to minimize the discomfort.

    Who can have Electrolysis?

    Electrolysis is performed on men, women and even teenagers.  Women who are pregnant can have electrolysis done without any side effects or danger to the baby, however it would be best to talk to your doctor first.  Even men and women with diabetes can safely recieve treatments.

Treatments are in sessions of 15, 30, 45 minutes or 1 hour.  At your free consultation, we will come up with a treatment plan just for you!  Along with your compliance and the instructions of the electrologist, you will have excellent results in a matter of time!
